The Process
I explore methods and techniques to create artworks in their own way. Each work begins through experimentation with glue and acrylics on board or canvas to create a mood. The paintings develop from this mood through the use of chalk, pastels, acrylics or oils.
Each piece begins without any particular end in mind, meaning each piece finds its own way to develop. The process differs for each painting as I give it room to develop freely.
The fascinating part of the process for me is in creating something that unveils itself independently, challenging me to bring all elements and inspirations together into a finished piece of work. The final result often surprises even myself.
Il Processo
Da artista autodidatta, Antoinette si esprime attraverso un metodo artistico tutto suo. Per creareun quadro infatti, inizia sperimentando con colla o tempere su tela, tavola di legno o cartone, creando lo stato d'animo del pezzo. Da questa base Antoinette in seguito crea l'immagine usando gesso, pastelli, pittura ad acrilico ed olio.
L 'artista approccia ogni creazione senza pianificare. Preferisce infatti che il quadro prenda forma in modo naturale, facendo sì che ciascun quadro si manifesti in modo originale.
È proprio questo che Antoinette adora: il modo in cui il processo artistico sviluppandosi la mette alla prova, e le fa combinare gli elementi artistici con la sua ispirazione. Spesso le opere che risultano sorprendo Antoinette stessa.
